Several destinations in Regional NSW including Deniliquin in the Riverina were featured in a recent episode of Sydney Weekender, aiming at promoting short break across Regional NSW.

The episode showcased a range of tourism products and experiences, and encouraged families from across the State to plan their next school holiday.

Highlights in Deniliquin included the iconic Deni Ute Muster, the Edward River, BIG4 Deniliquin Holiday Park and The Crossing Cafe.

Deputy Premier and Minister for Tourism and Major Events Troy Grant said promoting short breaks is an important part of the NSW Government’s strategy to help double overnight visitor expenditure by 2020.

“We must continue to promote the variety of destinations and key experiences on offer across NSW to help grow visitation, and Sydney Weekender is an ideal medium through which to do this,” Mr Grant said.

Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer Sandra Chipchase said, “Our partnership with Sydney Weekender provides a unique platform to showcase our wonderful NSW regions and encourage those who are considering taking a holiday in NSW to book.”

Sydney Weekender airs every Saturday at 5.30pm on the Seven Network and on the Prime Network across NSW and ACT attracting an audience of 128,000.

The episode is available on the Sydney Weekender website.
