Junee is a quaint rural town set between rolling hills and the Murrumbidgee River, 440 km south-west of Sydney, 220 km west of Canberra and 40 km north of Wagga Wagga. This pretty railway town has many fine features a€“ wide awnings, verandahs, wide streets and eccentric old-style architecture.

and Graze @ the Factory, housed in the historical Junee flour mill and, Monte Cristo Historic Homestead; the "most haunted house in Australia".

Gourmet travellers will enjoy exploring our local wineries Houlaghans Valley Wines and Coe & Co who reside within the highly regarded Gundagai Wine Region.

The sweet-tooths will marvel at the local delights on offer at the Bethungra Old School T-House, and take the time to wander through the Junee Farmers Market, which takes place on the first Sunday of each month. 

Junee Lavender Fields (formerly Kaybunda Lavender Farm), is another hotspot for visitors to the region as is the Junee Railway Roundhouse, which is home to the "largest roundhouse in the southern hemisphere". 

Rail buff's will also be intrigued by the Bethungra Rail Spiral, which is the only example of a 360 degree spiral in Australia and the annual Junee Rhythm n Rail Festival which takes place during the second weekend in March.
