Originally from Sydney, Ross and his family have lived in Griffith for 27 years.

Ross is a Regional Manager for the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service and holds a Degree in Applied Science (Parks and Recreation). His role is to protect natural and cultural values and also to ensure that visitor experiences are available in the public reserve system. Increasingly the aim is to link those experiences with commercial operators. National Parks have dedicated customer experience staff and have developed a tourism plan for the Riverina.

Ross considers that there can be a strong link between increasing visitation in the region related to agritourism, and promoting experiences in natural settings such as in national parks
